Hard Work Leads to Progression

Hellllllllllllllllllooooooooooo how is everyone doing?  This week was pretty good.

So this week we worked really hard to get our investigators to continue to progress.  The first person we worked with was Jean....our new investigator. Jean is pretty awesome and he understands well but I think he just likes discussing with us but I guess we will see.  Oscar and his wife were progressing really well but then Oscar fell off a moto and broke his arm....sad day so I guess we will see with his baptism.  Other than that the other people are the same.

The other good news from this week was one investigator who doesn't come to church much did!  And he loved it!  We are hoping things with him will continue to go well.

Anyway thats all the excitment that happened this week!  All is well!  I love you and miss you!

New Investigators

Well this week was pretty exciting!  We started out the week making a goal to find some new investigators, and things are going really well!  First we met Jean, he is a Baptist.  We have started teaching him and he is really awesome. He asks a lot of questions....but I like a lot of questions because that helps us know the needs of our investigators. Besides him we found a lot of people who could become investigators but we still need to work with them before we will know.

So big news with Oscar!  He has decided to be baptized!  On Saturday he attended the baptismal service. And he loved it!  The person who gave the talk really touched him.  So he wants to be baptized by the end of the month. Yesterday at church he came with his wife!  It was so awesome to see the two of them there together!  We also had 4 other people at church!

All and all it was a pretty good week!  So other than that there isn't really anything more to report!  All is going well!  I love you family!  Thank you for all your support!

ça va aller

Hellllloooooo!

Well another week has come and gone and here we are again!  So this week wasn't extremely exciting!  So the major highlight from this week is I finally got to meet President Morin and Sœur Morin! The first thing that all the missionaries noticed is that it was really awkward to talk to him.  It’s really weird taking it all in that President Weed is gone and that President Morin is now here.  Anyway we did a little introduction thing to get to know him.  Then the next day we had a small conference with him.  And we heard their story a little bit.  It turns out that they are both converts to the church.  They talked a lot about how much the gospel has changed their lives from the time of their baptism until now!  I really enjoyed feeling of their spirit and their energy.  I feel a lot of good things coming from them for our mission.  So we were pretty busy for most of the week with them.

The rest of the week we went and taught whoever we could find.  We have quite a few investigators but not many of them are coming to church....not really sure why but as we say here ça va aller (I'll be fine).  This week we have a goal to find new investigators.  Anyway that’s about it for this week.  I hope that all is well. I love you and miss you!

President Morin's Arrival

Helllllooooooooo!

Well another week has come and gone and here we are again!  This week was pretty interesting.  So Tuesday Elder Mutoke and I went out to our appointments and we taught Oscar.  Oscar is an investigator that we contacted while he was smoking.  Things are going well with him!  He came to church last week and loved it!  He said that his favorite part about it was the peace at church.  He also said that he wants to be baptized with his wife but first we need to fix his problems with the Word of Wisdom.

That was the most exciting part of the week, besides President Morin arrived!  From what I have been told his is pretty great and he has a lot of energy! He will be coming to Togo this week to meet all the missionaries.

So the other exciting thing that happened this week was a little trip I went on.  My companion and I and a few members from the bishopric went to the next town closest to Lomé called Tsevié!  The stake sent a bunch of ward missionaries out there to do a contacting activity, and now they want to start sending missionaries out there!  I’m the first missionary to step foot in that city.  At the activity that we did there were 17 people who came and there are a lot more contacts waiting!  It’s so exciting seeing the growth of the church here in Togo and I'm a part of it!

All and all it was a good week!  I hope all is well!  I love you and miss you!

With Small Things Great Things Come to Pass!

Helllooooooo

Well another week has come and gone and here we are again!  So this week was a pretty good!  This week I saw more of the blessing from working hard! Lately I've been praying for help to fill our time up every day. I found that planning is really the effective way to find people to teach every available hour! We taught a pretty good number of lessons this week!  If one person wasn't there then we had a replacement plan!

The big new from this week is that we had 2 baptisms!  Pacscl and Daniel!  They are both the first members in their families.  Daniel is 13 and came to church for the first time with a friend....we started teaching him and after 2 months he decided that he wanted to be baptized!  Pacscl is 10, and he lives in the same house with a member family... started coming to church and was baptized also! I’m thankful for the examples of these kids.  It’s tough being the first members in a family but with "small things great things come to pass!"

I hope all is well!  I miss you and love you!  Oh and on a side note today is President Weeds last day in Africa and President Morin comes tomorrow!  More news to come!
